1 dead, 1 hurt after allegedly drunk driver crashes into people changing tire

CORINTH, TX – A 22-year-old man was killed, and another man was severely injured in Corinth this weekend after a suspected drunk driver crashed into two people changing a flat tire.

According to CBS DFW, the accident happened at about 2:40 p.m. Sunday in the 6600 block of I-35 E, when a driver went out of the traffic lane, then collided with two people changing a flat tire.

A 22-year-old man died at the scene.

The other victim, a 29-year-old man, was transported to the hospital for the treatment of severe injuries.

Authorities took the driver, suspected of having been under the influence, into police custody on charges of intoxication manslaughter.
