DALLAS, TX – A Dallas teen was arrested Wednesday after stealing a car, leading police on a chase, and crashing into another vehicle, killing the person inside.

The 14-year-old stole a Toyota Camry at gunpoint from a woman in East Dallas on Monday night. When police spotted the stolen car on Wednesday, they gave chase, according to FOX4.

At the intersection of Wadsworth Drive and Great Trinity Forest Way the driver of the stolen car ran a red light. He struck a Chevy Impala, killing its driver and injuring one passenger. The innocent victim was identified as Cordell Jackson.

The Dallas police chief is reviewing this case to ensure that their policy regarding police chases was followed. Their policy states that officers are allowed to pursue if someone in that car committed a violent felony.

Three other juveniles and one adult were passengers in the stolen car. It is unclear if they will face any charges.
