16-year-old girl killed, 5 others injured in Waxahachie car crash

WAXAHACHIE, TX – A 16-year-old girl is dead and five other teenagers are injured after a car crash on Saturday afternoon, police say.

According to the Dallas Morning News, the accident happened around 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 7. The victim was driving a 2007 Honda Accord with five passengers in the car on the 100 block of Shoreside Trail. She didn’t turn at the curve in the road, crashing the car into a culvert.

The driver died at the scene. Four passengers from Waxahachie and one from Garland were taken to a Dallas hospital. They are all between the ages of 15-17.
