20-year-old killed, man facing charges in alleged DUI crash in Arlington

ARLINGTON, TX – A 20-year-old passenger was killed in an alleged drunk-driving crash in Arlington on Friday night, according to CBS DFW.

The crash occurred in the 3300 block of E Pioneer Parkway at about 10:30 p.m., when 22-year-old Cristian Vazquez lost control of his pickup truck. The vehicle went off the side of the road and collided with a tree, then overturned.

A 20-year-old woman riding in the front passenger seat died at the scene.

Vazquez is believed to have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash. He was taken into police custody and is facing charges of intoxication manslaughter.
