4-year-old, 6-month-old, and woman killed in head-on crash on Hwy 380

DENTON, TX – A woman and two children are dead following a head-on collision on Highway 380 in Denton on Sunday morning, according to NBC DFW.

The crash happened on US-380 and Rockhill road at 11:43 a.m., when a black Mercedes-Benz and a white Ford Mustang collided head-on.

The driver of the Mercedes, who had received the vehicle only a day before as a gift from her fiancé, died at the scene. She has been identified as 31-year-old Jordan Dodson.

A 4-year-old girl and a 6-month-old infant were riding in their car seats in the Mustang. They were taken to the hospital, and there, they were pronounced dead.

Dodson’s fiancé was riding in the car with her at the time of the crash. He and two adults in the Mustang sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident.

According to a witness, the driver of the Mustang crossed into oncoming traffic, then clipped her vehicle as she managed to swerve out of the way. The Mustang then collided with the Mercedes.

Two additional vehicles were involved in the accident, though the occupants of those were not hurt.
