ARLINGTON, TX – A man was fatally struck by a driver who ran multiple red lights while fleeing police in Arlington on Friday night, according to NBC DFW.

The crash occurred near the intersection of S Cooper Street and W Arkansas Lane at about 9 p.m., as the driver of a maroon 2011 Buick LaCrosse was fleeing a traffic stop. The driver, who was reportedly going at speeds of over 100 mph, allegedly sped through multiple red lights.

The LaCrosse then crashed into a sedan, and the impact pushed the vehicle into two vacant cars that had been parked nearby. Two people inside the Buick then fled the scene on foot, abandoning the vehicle.

39-year-old Arlington man Douglas Osiemo died at the scene.

The Buick allegedly had contraband inside.

Authorities continue to investigate the accident at this time.
