Narrative

DALLAS, TX – Police are investigating after a vehicle struck and killed a mom and her small child along a busy Dallas roadway on Tuesday.

The incident happened around 3:50 p.m. in the area of West Spring Valley Road and Esperanza Road, which is northwest of US-75.

It’s unclear at this time if the woman and child were walking in a designated crosswalk at the time of the accident. Authorities say that they both died after transport to a local hospital. Authorities have not yet released their names.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident was not hurt and remained on site after the accident to render aid and speak with police.

The investigation is ongoing.
