Driver dies after rear-ending disabled vehicle in Arlington

ARLINGTON, TX – A driver died after rear-ending a disabled car that was stopped in a middle lane of 3500 block of Interstate 30 on Sunday.

According to NBC DFW, a car had engine trouble, and its driver stopped it in an inside lane and put their hazards on. The driver couldn’t pull into the shoulder of the highway due to construction.

Another car later rear-ended the disabled car, whose driver was still inside. The driver that rear-ended the disabled car died later at a hospital. The driver inside the stopped car was not injured.

Police are investigating whether impairment was a factor.
