Driver of pickup truck hits pedestrian, Dallas police horse in Deep Ellum

DALLAS, TX – A Dallas driver hit and critically injured a pedestrian and hit a Dallas police horse on Sunday, police say.

According to FOX4, the incident occurred on Sunday, Aug. 22. The suspect has been identified as 25-year-old Adonis Hartfield.

Hartfield rammed into another car then hit a pedestrian and a police horse on the 2600 block of Elm Street. Police intercepted the driver and arrested him at the 1400 block of Ross Avenue. A woman was also in the truck but was not considered a suspect.

Hartfield is facing charges including intoxication assault with a vehicle-serious bodily injury. The pedestrian has not been identified.
