Man fatally struck by vehicle while assisting with truck accident in Ft. Worth

FORT WORTH, TX – Authorities believe that a man was stopping to aid a victim of a car accident when he was fatally struck by a passing driver in Fort Worth earlier this week.

According to the DFW Scanner, the collision occurred on I-30, near Beach Street, at about 2 a.m. Monday morning, when a man stopped near the site of an accident involving a semi-truck and a passenger vehicle.

The victim was assisting those inside the passenger vehicle when he was struck by a passing driver.

The victim, a 27-year-old man from Arlington, died at the scene.

It is unclear if the striking driver stopped to render aid to the victim.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
