GRAY COUNTY, TX – A man is dead after a motorcycle accident on State Highway 152 that happened early Tuesday morning.
According to MyHighPlains.com, 46-year-old Shawn Francis and his passenger, Teffeni Martinez, 42, were riding a motorcycle around 3:30 a.m. Andrew Martinez, 48, was driving a 2020 Toyota car behind them.
According to police, Martinez did not control his speed and bumped the back of Francis’ motorcycle. Francis lost control and veered off the road. Francis and Teffeni Martinez were both ejected from the motorcycle.
Francis died at the scene. Teffeni Martinez is being treated at Amarillo Northwest Texas Hospital for minor injuries.
Police are still investigating.
