Motorcyclist killed in single-vehicle crash on SH-114 in Grapevine

GRAPEVINE, TX – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on State Highway 114 in Grapevine on Wednesday night, according to information from CBS DFW.

The crash happened on westbound SH-114 near Texan Trail at around 10:45 p.m., and involved a lone motorcyclist. The motorcycle appears to have skidded before striking a curb and crashing into a grassy area. A highway sign was also toppled in the accident.

Due to evidence found at the scene, officials believe speed may have played a role in the crash.

The victim, a 23-year-old Grapevine man, was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:58 p.m.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
