SULPHUR SPRINGS, TX – One person has died and another suffered injuries after a crash involving two 18-wheelers Wednesday night.
According to KLTV, the fatal crash occurred on I-30 eastbound, roughly seven miles from Sulphur Springs, around 11:00 PM on March 9th.
A 2016 freightliner tractor-trailer reportedly crashed into the guardrail and overturned. The freightliner then rolled across the eastbound lanes where it was struck by a 2008 International tractor-trailer.
The driver of the freightliner, Fadi Kathawa, was ejected from the vehicle and sadly died at the scene.
The driver of the International tractor-trailer, 33-year-old Lester Brown, suffered injuries. They have since been released from the hospital.
