Person killed in early-morning collision in East Oak Cliff

DALLAS, TX – One person was killed in a two-vehicle collision in East Oak Cliff early Saturday morning, according to NBC DFW.

The crash happened near the intersection of Kiest Boulevard and E Illinois Avenue at about 1 a.m., when the driver of a Kia sedan made a left turn and collided with a Chevrolet Trailblazer.

An unknown number of victims were taken to the hospital following the collision. One of those, a passenger in the Kia, was pronounced dead after being taken in for treatment.

The accident remains under investigation.
