Woman and 3 children injured in early-morning crash in Redbird

DALLAS, TX – A woman and her three children were injured following a collision in the Redbird area early Friday morning, according to information from FOX 4 News.

The crash happened at Polk Street and I-20 at around 1 a.m., when a driver headed northbound reportedly ran a red light. She was then struck by the driver of a westbound pickup truck.

The driver, identified only as a woman, was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.

Her three children sustained minor wounds in the crash.

The other driver was not hurt in the accident.

Police believe that the children were not wearing seatbelts when the crash happened. Their investigation is ongoing.
