EL PASO, TX — One person died early Tuesday morning after a multi-vehicle accident that hurt two others on Interstate 10 in central El Paso, according to KVIA.
The fatal collision occurred on the westbound lanes at North Piedras Street, near the city’s Five Points West neighborhood. It was first reported at about 3:00 a.m.
An investigation remains underway, but the El Paso Police Department’s Special Traffic Investigators said three vehicles were involved.
One person was ejected from their car and was pronounced deceased at the scene, confirmed officials.
Two other people among the involved cars were injured. One of those patients was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
In the aftermath of the wreck, all westbound traffic was forced to divert off the interstate and onto North Copia Street.
