2 hospitalized after crash on I-10 EB near El Paso’s Lower Valley

EL PASO, TX — According to KVIA, two people were injured Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision on Interstate 10 near El Paso’s Lower Valley.

El Paso Police and El Paso Fire crews responded to the scene on the eastbound interstate at North Zaragoza Road, near Blackie Chesher Park.

The circumstances behind the accident remain unclear, but firefighters had to tend to one vehicle that came to a stop in a precarious position.

Two patients were transported to an area hospital with injuries considered non-life-threatening.

Authorities shut down two right eastbound lanes during the emergency response and investigation, causing a traffic backup down to Lee Trevino Drive.

At this time, no pending charges or citations have been reported.
