Accident closes multiple lanes on I-10 WB in El Paso’s Lower Valley

EL PASO, TX — A vehicle wreck Wednesday morning blocked three left lanes on Interstate 10 in El Paso’s Lower Valley, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

The collision occurred on the westbound lanes after North Zaragoza Road and George Dieter Drive. It was first reported by TxDOT El Paso at 7:26 a.m.

Officials have not provided further details on the circumstances behind the event, but a traffic backup had formed down to Eastlake Boulevard at the time of the initial report.

Commuters were advised to seek alternate routes around the scene.

Shortly after 8:00 a.m., more than 30 minutes later, crews had cleared the accident and all lanes were reopened to traffic.
