Accident partially closes US-54 SB offramp in central El Paso

EL PASO, TX — A vehicle wreck was reported Tuesday morning on a U.S. Highway 54 exit ramp in central El Paso’s Five Points East area, according to Diana Gomez, KFOX14 traffic reporter.

El Paso Police and first responders arrived on the scene on the southbound highway at the interchange ramp to Interstate 10 westbound (Exit 21A). The accident was first reported by KFOX14 at 8:26 a.m.

It was not immediately clear what led up to the crash, but footage captured at the scene indicates two dark-colored pickup trucks were involved. At least one police cruiser was seen responding to the vehicles on the left lane of the ramp, which remained blocked for several minutes.

By 8:33 a.m., the scene had been cleared from the ramp.


As of this writing, authorities have not reported any injuries.
