EL PASO, TX — A car overturned in a crash early Tuesday evening on U.S. Highway 54 near El Paso Community College, according to KTSM.
The accident took place on the southbound lanes at Exit 28 to Diana Drive, in the northeast corner of the city. It was first reported by KTSM at 5:30 p.m.
Few details have been released at this time, but a passenger car rolled onto its side as a result of a collision, blocking the right lane. It was unclear whether another vehicle was involved.
At the time of the initial report, a traffic backup had stretched to Woodrow Bean Transmountain Drive (Loop 375). Officials with the Texas Department of Transportation estimated the scene would clear within the hour.
