Crews respond to fiery crash on US-54 near central El Paso

EL PASO, TX — According to KFOX14, a vehicle caught fire last Friday morning, July 8, after a collision on U.S. Highway 54 near central El Paso.

The accident occurred near the ramp to Montana Avenue, in the city’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. El Paso Fire Department dispatchers first received the call at around 6:00 a.m.

It was not immediately clear what led up to the crash or whether another vehicle was involved, but firefighters were about to put out the flames shortly after arrival.

The Texas Department of Transportation indicated a right lane and right shoulder were blocked during the emergency response.

As of this writing, officials have not reported any injuries in the incident.
