EL PASO, TX — According to KVIA, a semi-truck caught fire after overturning last Thursday afternoon on North Desert Boulevard in far northwest El Paso.
El Paso Fire Department crews responded to the scene at Woodrow Bean Transmountain Drive, just south of the Outlet Shoppes in the Canutillo area. The incident was first reported on July 7, shortly before 4:42 p.m.
Officials have not shared details on the circumstances behind the event, but the driver was said to be safe. No injuries were reported.
Firefighters were able to put out small fires near the vehicle’s back brakes.
Two left lanes were shut down as crews worked to get the semi upright and cleared from the roadway.
