DUI suspect arrested after hitting patrol cars on I-10 in NW El Paso

EL PASO, TX — A 45-year-old woman was arrested last Friday night after crashing her vehicle into two patrol units in El Paso’s Upper Valley, reports KFOX14.

The incident took place on the westbound side of Interstate 10 near Sunland Park Drive (mile marker 13).

According to the El Paso Police Department, the woman was driving westbound on the interstate when she hit the left corner of one patrol unit. Moments later, she rear-ended a second patrol vehicle.

Authorities said officers were investigating the scene of a prior wreck at the time, and that both units had their lights flashing to alert motorists.

No injuries were reported in the event, but the woman was taken into custody and charged with driving while impaired. She later issued a bail of $3, 500.
