Narrative
EL PASO, TX – One person went to the hospital on Tuesday after two vehicles collided at a busy intersection near El Paso International Airport.
The incident happened around 8:20 a.m. at the intersection of Montana Avenue and McRae Boulevard, which is just east of Hawkins Park.
Video footage taken at the scene indicates that a sedan struck a pickup truck in the intersection.
Police say that the sedan ran a red light and that the force of the collision caused one of the vehicles to catch fire.
It’s unclear at this time if the injured party was riding in the sedan or the pickup truck.
