EPFD crews respond to vehicle fire on N Americas Blvd in east El Paso

EL PASO, TX — A vehicle fire closed three left lanes on North Americas Boulevard Tuesday morning in El Paso’s Lower Valley, reports KFOX14.

El Paso Fire Department crews responded to the scene at the intersection with North Loop Drive, near the city’s Richard Lee neighborhood. The incident was first reported by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) shortly before 5:00 a.m.

Officials did not say whether or not a crash led to the fire, but firefighters were able to put out the flames, and no injuries were reported.

Shortly before 6:00 a.m., the scene had been cleared from the roadway and all lanes were reopened to traffic.
