Female pedestrian fatally hit by vehicle near downtown El Paso

EL PASO, TX — A 57-year-old woman died late Friday morning after a pedestrian crash on East San Antonio Avenue near downtown El Paso, according to KVIA.

El Paso Police responded to the scene near St. Vrain Street, in the city’s Magoffin neighborhood, shortly after 9:45 a.m.

Investigators said a 37-year-old driver was turning left onto East San Antonio Avenue from St. Vrain Street when they hit the woman, who was crossing San Antonio Avenue on foot.

The victim died as a result of her injuries, confirmed officials.
