Man critically injured in solo-car crash on I-10 near El Paso’s Lower Valley

EL PASO, TX — According to KVIA, a 26-year-old man was hospitalized early Monday after he crashed a vehicle into a barrier on Interstate 10 in far east El Paso.

El Paso Police responded to the scene on the eastbound interstate near Eastlake Boulevard, shortly after 1:12 a.m.

Investigators found the man was driving at a high rate of speed when his vehicle collided head-on with a construction barrel and barrier.

The victim, a Fabens resident, suffered critical injuries. He was rushed to a local hospital where his condition remains undisclosed.
