Motorcyclist dies after driver fails to yield on Alameda Ave in central El Paso

EL PASO, TX — According to KTSM, a motorcyclist died last Saturday after being hit by a driver who failed to yield in El Paso’s Washington Park neighborhood.

El Paso Police responded to the scene at the corner of Alameda Avenue and Gateway North Boulevard on May 14.

Authorities said the victim, a 59-year-old man, had been riding a Harley Davidson eastbound on Alameda Avenue. A 25-year-old woman was driving a Toyota Corolla westbound when she made a left turn in the rider’s path. Moments later, she struck the bike, causing the rider to eject and land on the sidewalk.

The victim was transported to University Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased.

As of this writing, officials have not shared further details.
