Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash after driver fails to yield near central El Paso

EL PASO, TX — According to KVIA, a man suffered serious injuries Monday afternoon in a collision involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck in central El Paso.

El Paso Police responded to the scene at Alabama Street and Pierce Avenue at around 5:00 p.m.

An early investigation shows a 45-year-old man was riding a motorcycle northbound on Alabama Street when a pickup truck entered the road from Pierce Avenue.

Authorities said the motorcyclist, who was traveling at high speeds, hit the pickup as its driver failed to yield.

Police said both speed and failure to yield to the right of way factored into the crash.

No injuries to the other driver, a 57-year-old man, were reported.

An investigation was underway.
