Pedestrian involved in hit-and-run crash near east Socorro

EL PASO COUNTY, TX — According to KTSM, Socorro Police responded to a hit-and-run crash Thursday afternoon involving at least one pedestrian in east Socorro.

The incident occurred on the northbound lanes of Horizon Boulevard between Regina Drive and North Loop Drive. It was first reported by KTSM at 12:30 p.m.

At this time, officials have not disclosed details regarding the circumstances behind the event or the parties involved.

The number of people injured and the severity of their condition remain unclear.

A section of the northbound road was blocked during the emergency response and investigation.

Motorists were asked to detour around the scene using Baume, Rio Vista, and Moon Road.
