UPDATE: Woman dies after two-vehicle collision in south-central El Paso

EL PASO, TX — According to KVIA, a 51-year-old woman has died two days after a crash Saturday that critically injured another woman in south-central El Paso.

El Paso Police responded to the scene in the 7000 block of North Loop Drive on July 2, shortly after 11:40 p.m.

An early investigation indicates the deceased victim was driving a vehicle that hit the back of a vehicle driven by a 30-year-old woman.

The driver of the striking vehicle was ejected in the crash and sustained serious injuries. Officials said she was pronounced deceased on Monday, July 4, two days following the wreck.

The other driver was rushed to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. No updates on her condition have been shared at this time.

According to KFOX14, at least two other patients suffered minor injuries and were taken to a hospital.
