Narrative

FALLS CO., TX – Two women died Monday in a crash involving an SUV and a semi-truck along a highway near Chilton.

The accident happened around 4 p.m. in the area of FM-935 and TX-7. This is about 21 miles southeast of Waco.

Police say that an eastbound Freightliner struck a Buick Enclave as the latter vehicle turned onto TX-7 from FM-935.

Both the driver and the passenger in the Buick sustained fatal injuries. Authorities pronounced 86-year-old Eugenio Hernandez deceased at the scene. 72-year-old Marry Hernandez died after transport to a hospital in Temple.

No other injuries have been referenced in connection to the crash.

A full investigation is underway.
