WICHITA FALLS, TX – A mother will likely be facing charges after her 3-year-old died Monday from injuries sustained in a wrong-way crash in Wichita Falls last week, according to KSN News.

The crash happened near the intersection of Wichita Street and N Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard at about 3:34 p.m. on July 21, as the driver of a white Dodge Charger was driving the wrong way on a one-way street.

The driver then reportedly failed to stop at an intersection and pulled into the pathway of a grey Audi. The Audi slammed into the left passenger’s side of the Charger.

A 3-year-old boy who was not properly restrained in a child safety seat was sitting near the impact site. The boy, who is not being identified here due to his age, was airlifted to Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth.

On Monday at about 9 p.m., the boy was pronounced dead.

According to witness testimony, the woman driving the Charger has allegedly gone the wrong way down the one-way street on a regular basis.

She will likely be facing criminal charges following the accident.
