SPRINGTOWN, TX (PARKER COUNTY) – A woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash on State Highway 199 in Parker County last week, according to NBC DFW.
The collision happened on Thursday on SH-199, near South Drive, after 38-year-old Katie M. Derouin walked into the roadway. She was then struck by a red 2009-2011 Toyota Camry.
The driver initially stopped near the scene, but left before authorities arrived, according to eyewitness testimony.
Derouin was pronounced dead after the crash.
Authorities continue to search for the driver and the vehicle, which may have damage to the front and passenger sides. Those with information on the crash are asked to contact Trooper Shinn at 817-594-7422.
