Boy on bike hospitalized after being struck by hit-and-run driver in Ft. Worth

FORT WORTH, TX – A child was hospitalized after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on Strong Avenue in Fort Worth on Saturday evening, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.

The crash occurred in the 3200 block of Strong Ave, near Vaughn Road at 7:39 p.m., after the juvenile driver of a pickup truck allegedly hit a boy riding his bicycle. The driver then fled the scene.

The child was taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Authorities have identified the suspect and their vehicle, though due to their being underaged, no further details were released.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
