Ft. Worth Police looking for driver after pedestrian severely injured in hit-and-run

FORT WORTH, TX – A pedestrian was severely injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on Lancaster Avenue in Fort Worth on Sunday morning, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.

The crash happened in the 2500 block of E Lancaster Ave at about 5:30 a.m., when a driver crashed into a pedestrian, then fled the scene.

The victim sustained critical, life-threatening wounds in the accident.

Authorities believe that the driver of a burgundy or maroon SUV, possibly a Chevrolet with HID/LED lights, may have been involved in the crash, or may have witnessed it. Police are searching for the vehicle and driver and are asking those with any information on the collision to contact them at 817-392-4887.
