Narrative

Two people died last Monday, November 14, after a two-vehicle crash involving a stolen vehicle near Kennedale. The fatal wreck occurred at the intersection of West Kennedale Parkway and North Dick Price Road. According to authorities, the events unfolded when an off-duty Fort Worth police officer spotted someone in a vehicle fire a shot toward another vehicle on Interstate 20. Forth Worth Police later tried to pull over the vehicle at Mansfield Highway and I-20, but its driver refused to stop. The vehicle was fleeing southbound on W Kennedale Parkway when it hit a second vehicle at the intersection. The impact caused the suspect vehicle to overturn, ejecting two firearms. Two occupants in the suspect vehicle died at the scene. A third occupant from the suspect vehicle and the driver of the victim vehicle were taken to an area hospital. The extent of their injuries remains undisclosed. Police noted a “secondary officer” was also taken to a hospital as a precaution due to a minor related accident.
