Narrative

A 27-year-old woman died early Sunday, December 4, after being hit by a vehicle moments after exiting her disabled vehicle. The fatal incident occurred on the westbound lanes of Texas State Highway 183 near the onramp to TX-360 southbound.  Fort Worth Police said at around 3:25 a.m., the woman was driving westbound when she was involved in a crash that caused her vehicle to disable. She got out of her vehicle and was fatally hit by a driver in a white Ford Mustang. The victim died from her injuries at the scene, officials confirmed. The driver of the striking car fled the scene without stopping. At this time, police continue to search for the suspect, whose vehicle is described as being of a newer model with blue or dark-colored racing stripes.
