Three injured in four-vehicle crash on Highway 114 in Denton County

DENTON COUNTY, TX – Three people were injured in a crash involving four vehicles on Highway 114 near Justin on Saturday night.

According to NBC DFW, a man driving a Fiat the wrong way down Hwy 114 caused the crash. The Fiat driver, 50-year-old Juan A. Fermin, his a Dodge pickup truck in the westbound lanes. The Dodge struck an Infinity also in the westbound lane.

After hitting the pickup truck, the Fiat hit a Hyundai Elantra head-on.

Fermin was transported by air to a hospital and is being treated for serious injuries. The driver and passenger of the Hyundai are being treated at Baylor Scott and White for unknown injuries.

It is not clear yet why Fermin was going the wrong direction.
