Two people, including Fort Worth PD officer, injured in early-morning crash

FORT WORTH, TX – Two people, including a Fort Worth Police officer, were sent to the hospital following a collision in East Fort Worth on Monday morning, according to NBC DFW.

The accident occurred near the intersection of S Beach Street and E Lancaster Avenue at about 4 a.m., when the driver of a sedan allegedly ran a traffic light.

The sedan collided with a marked patrol SUV, causing both drivers to be sent to the hospital.

The two were later released and are expected to recover.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
