LEAGUE CITY, TX – A 19-year-old is facing charges in connection with a three-vehicle crash that led to the death of one man and the theft of a witness’s vehicle in League City yesterday, according to the Galveston County Daily News.

The accident occurred near the League City Parkway exit of the southbound I-45 feeder road at about 1 p.m. when one vehicle rear-ended another car on the exit ramp. It was then struck by another vehicle in a collision that pushed the first car into a median and a bulldozer.

The driver of that vehicle, League City man Jeremy Campbell, died at the scene.

A witness got out of his pickup truck and went to provide assistance to the victim, when the driver of the striking vehicle, 19-year-old La Marque resident Keniqua Pleasant, got out of her damaged vehicle. She then climbed into the witness’s pickup and drove the vehicle away from the scene.

Pleasant is facing charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle and failure to render aid to a crash victim.
