Man injured in crash after driver runs stop sign on SH-87 in Galveston

GALVESTON, TX – A man was injured after another driver ran a stop sign on State Highway 87 in Galveston early Monday morning, according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

The crash happened at 903 SH-87 at 1:04 a.m., when the 56-year-old driver of a white 2010 Ford failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign. The front-right quarter of his vehicle was then struck by the front of a 2015 Toyota.

The driver of the Toyota, a 66-year-old man, sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The other driver was not hurt.
