HITCHCOCK, TX (GALVESTON COUNTY) – A man was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver near a motel on Highway 6 in Hitchcock on Friday night, according to KTRK.
The crash occurred at about 10 p.m. in the 9100 block of Highway 6, near Amber Drive, near a motel where the victim lived.
A witness saw the driver of a truck crash into the victim, then flee the scene.
The victim died as a result.
Authorities are hoping to use security footage from the motel as they investigate the crash. Those with any information on the accident are asked to contact Hitchcock Police at 409-986-5559.
