Person injured in 18-wheeler crash on FM 1765 Rd in Texas City

TEXAS CITY, TX – One person was injured in a crash involving an 18-wheeler truck on FM 1765 in Texas City last week, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

The crash occurred at 2279 FM 1765 Rd at 5:46 p.m. Wednesday, when the 57-year-old driver of a black 1993 Kenworth truck, a 57-year-old man, changed lanes when it was not safe to do so.

The right side of his vehicle then crashed into the left side of a black 2008 Pontiac being driven by a 37-year-old woman.

The female driver sustained possible injuries in the crash.

The truck driver was not reported as injured.
