Woman injured after being rear-ended by speeding driver in Galveston

GALVESTON, TX – A woman was injured after being rear-ended by an allegedly speeding driver on Avenue Q in Galveston on Friday morning, according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

The collision happened at 4505 Avenue Q at 11:21 a.m., as the driver of a red 2020 Jeep, a 29-year-old woman from Louisiana, failed to control the speed of her vehicle.

She collided with the rear of a red 2005 Honda being driven by a 40-year-old woman.

The driver of the Honda sustained possible injuries in the crash. The speeding driver was not reported as injured.
