HOUSTON, TX – One person was killed in a collision on the Eastex Freeway, west of the East Little York neighborhood, on Monday afternoon, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash happened on the Eastex Freeway and Hopper Road at about 1:20 p.m., when a Toyota SUV collided with the back of a pickup truck, then crashed into a wall.
Bystanders pulled a driver out of the wreckage and administered CPR. From there, the victim was taken to the hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries.
