16-year-old bicyclist fatally hit by vehicle on poorly lit road in Magnolia

MAGNOLIA, TX – A teenage bicyclist was fatally struck by a vehicle on a dimly lit section of roadway in Magnolia on Monday night, according to KTRK.

The crash occurred on Magnolia Boulevard, near David Lane, at about 10 p.m., when a driver collided with a 16-year-old boy riding a bicycle. The driver then called the police.

The bicycle was stuck onto the front of the vehicle, and the victim’s body was found about 5 yards from the roadway.

He died at the scene.

Authorities have stated that the road has no shoulder, and that the area near the crash was poorly lit.

It is unclear if the driver will be facing charges in connection with the crash.
