KATY, TX – Seven people, including three children, were injured as a result of a suspected DWI crash in Katy early Sunday morning, according to a Tweet posted by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Night Watch.

HCSO reported the accident at 1:40 a.m. and stated that it occurred at 4999 Katy Hockley Cut Off Road, near Stockdick School Road when a van and another vehicle collided. Five people, including three children, were taken to the hospital by ambulance with unspecified injuries. An additional two people, both adults, were airlifted for treatment.

The identities of the victims have not yet been released. Authorities suspect one of the drivers may have been intoxicated when the accident occurred.
