40-year-old man trying to cross North Fwy fatally struck by two vehicles

HOUSTON, TX – A pedestrian was killed this weekend while trying to walk across the North Freeway after he was struck by two separate vehicles, according to FOX 26 Houston.

The accident occurred on the North Freeway (I-45), near Little York Road in the Northside area, at about 10 p.m. Sunday night.

The victim, a 40-year-old man who has yet to be publicly identified, was trying to cross the highway when he was hit by the driver of a silver GMC Arcadia. He was then struck by a second vehicle, a white Ford Fusion.

The victim was lying in the highway lanes when he was discovered by emergency staff. He died at the scene.

Neither of the drivers initially stayed at the scene. One of the two had called the police, while the other later returned to the site of the accident.

No charges have yet been filed.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
