7 adults and 1 child injured, man facing charges after driving into Fiesta Mart

HOUSTON, TX – A man is facing charges after he allegedly drove his vehicle into a Fiesta Mart, causing injury to seven adults and a child in Houston this weekend.

According to KTRK, the accident occurred at 9420 Cullen Boulevard at about 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon, when Oswald McGlorie, Jr., operating a gold SUV, allegedly drove through the front of the grocery store.

McGlorie was reportedly under the influence at the time of the crash.

A 9-year-old child suffered minor injuries in the collision. Seven others, including a person in their 30s who sustained massive head wounds, were injured after being struck by either the vehicle itself or debris from the crash.

McGlorie, who was not reported as hurt, is facing charges of intoxication assault in connection with the collision.
